Il Villaggio

Il Villaggio - Punta Mita Italian RestaurantCuisine: Italian
Address: Av Anclote 15
Phone: (329) 291-6430
Atmosphere: Sophisticated, Italian
Setting: Beachfront, stylish
Dress Code: Casual
Price: $$
Hour: Breakfast, lunch, dinner

Visitors to Il Villaggio might be mistaken for thinking they were in Italy, rather than Mexico. From the European espresso bar at the buildings entrance, to the sophisticated restaurant decor, there is no mistaking the Italian born owner's rustic influence. The restaurant features an authentic Italian pizza oven and a wine room. The prices are more fine dining America than Mexico, but the food does not disappoint. The chef makes the most of fresh local seafood, and the dishes honour Italian culinary simplicity. Sit at a table, or enjoy a drink at seated in the lounge area on the beach. The service is attentive, and may try to oversell at times, but Il Villaggio is, after all, on the beach in Mexico.
